Alert 360 Plans, Deals, and Promotions

Ready to purchase an Alert 360 security system? Here's what you should know first about their packages and monitoring plans, as well as ways to save and other fees you should be aware of.

Alert 360 Monitoring & Equipment Packages Explained

Alert 360 offers their equipment in packages, with Smart Home Video package being the least expensive and the Complete Smart Home package having the most inclusions.

Smart Home Video Package

The Smart Home Video package includes a touchscreen control panel, three door/window sensors, a motion sensor, an Alarm.com indoor camera, and. Getting this package gives you access to smartphone control and the Alert 360 Video app for security camera monitoring.

Door Command

The Door Command package includes almost the same products, but with the addition of a smart lock and remote key fob. If you choose this package, you'll get touchscreen control panel, three door/window sensors, a motion sensor, a remote key fob, a smart lock, and a video doorbell instead of an indoor camera. If you choose this package, you also get the same features but with the addition of smart home control via the Alert 360 app.

Complete Smart Home

As the name implies, the Complete Smart Home is the ultimate package. It's actually a combination of the two other packages. It includes a touchscreen panel, three door/window sensors, a motion sensor, a remote key fob, an indoor camera, a video doorbell, and a smart lock.

Pricing

Unfortunately, Alert 360's pricing is not transparent. What's included in the packages were openly discussed on their website, but the pricing wasn't included. In order to know how much the packages will cost you, you will need to contact Alert 360 and get a quote from a sales rep over the phone. The sales rep will talk you through your options and let you choose between the three packages or build your own system from scratch.

Contract

Once you've chosen a package and monitoring plan, you'll be required to sign a contract. Most customers get a 2-year or 3-year contract. If you sign a long-term contract, you'll receive a security system for free or for a minimal amount. You can also choose to pay everything upfront and sign a month-to-month contract that will allow you to cancel services anytime without penalties.

Other Fees You Should Know About

Besides the equipment fee and monthly monitoring fee, there are other fees you should factor in before buying Alert 360's products or services.

First of all, there will be an installation fee and possibly an activation fee. The installation fee will cover the professional charge of the technician who will install your system for you, while the activation fee, if there is, will cover the activation of your system's communication line with the monitoring center.

When the system is set up, there will also be charges for service calls not covered by the warranty. If you ask for a technician to come over and perform repairs or maintenance service to your system, you will be charged a standard rate for the materials used and labor.

In some cities, an alarm permit is also required prior to getting a monitored security system. The permit can be acquired from your local police department and will cost you around $20.

Finally, false alarm penalties. If the cops are called to your house due to a false alarm, you might be charged a penalty. Alert 360 takes no responsibility of false alarm penalties, except if they can prove that the false alarm occurred due to a product malfunction or improper installation. If that's the case, they will refund the full amount or a partial amount of what you paid to your local police department.

Ways To Save

Getting a security system is an investment, but that doesn't mean you can't find ways to somehow lower your equipment or monitoring fee. If you choose to go with Alert 360, there are several ways you can save.

Pay The Equipment Upfront

If you can, it's better to pay the equipment upfront and get a month-to-month contract rather than to pay a minimal fee upon signing up and sign a long-term contract. Should it ever come to the point that you have the cancel the service, having a month-to-month contract will save you a lot of hassle and money. If you have a long-term contract, you will need to buyout your contract before terminating it, which means paying for months of monitoring you won't even use. With a month-to-month contract, all you need is an advance cancellation notice.

Refer Friends & Family

If you choose to go with Alert 360, you must have a good reason to choose them and if you're confident with your choice, then it won't be wrong to recommend it to friends and family. If you can refer a friend who signs up for their service as well within 60 days from the installation of your system, you'll get a $150.00 credit. If your referral signs up after the first 60 days, you'll get a $75 credit.

Get Your Insurance Discount

Alert 360 is willing to provide a monitoring certificate, which proves that your home is protected by them. You can show the certificate to your insurance company to avail a discount on your insurance premium.
