Link offers a three-tiered monitoring plan structure. Standard starts at $30.99/month, Gold at $39.99/month, and Elite at $44.99/month.

Standard

The Standard plan is the most basic and cheapest of all monitoring plans offered by Link Interactive. It allows you to use security and life safety sensors as well as add-on accessories like secondary keypads and remote key fobs.

Subscribing to the Standard plan gives you access to 24/7 professional monitoring that covers intrusions, fire, and carbon monoxide detection. In addition, it offers Crash & Smash protection, uses cellular monitoring, and provides access to the Link Interactive smartphone app. It's important to take note of this because most alarm companies don't offer these features in their basic monitoring plans.

Gold

The mid-tier and most popular Link Interactive plan is Gold. It offers the same features as the Standard plan, but it adds in home automation features. If you subscribe to the Gold plan, you get access to lock, light, temperature, garage door, and appliance automation via the Link Interactive app or via the touchscreen control panel. Because home automation is included in this plan, you'll be able to add smart lights, thermostats, locks, and other home automation devices to your system.

Elite

Elite is the most high-end monitoring plan offered by Link Interactive. Besides all the features mentioned above, it gives you access to video monitoring. With the addition of this feature, you'll be able to add security cameras to your system and use them to add an extra layer of protection to your home. You can use your security cameras to stream live videos to your smartphone. They can also record on-demand, on schedule, or when they detect motion using their built-in motion detection features.

Cutting Down The Equipment Cost

With Link Interactive, you're paying to own the equipment, not rent it. Unfortunately, this means paying a larger sum upfront. Are there ways to somehow cut down the equipment cost? Certainly.

Longer Contract Usually Means More Discounts

Link Interactive offers three contract options: 1-year, 2-year, and 3-year. Granted, a 3-year contract isn't for everybody, but if you're willing to become a Link Interactive customer for that long, the company is also willing to give you large discounts. For example, instead of paying $450 for an equipment package that includes a touchscreen control panel, three door/window sensors, and one motion sensor, you'll only have to pay $200. Signing a shorter 2-year or 1-year contract might also land you discounts, but not as much as the discounts you'll get with a 3-year contract.

Promo Codes

Another way to decrease your upfront equipment fee is looking for promo codes. We've even seen promo codes that offer discounts up to 50%. Keep in mind that these promo codes usually have restrictions. For example, some of them only apply to homeowners.

Bargain With A Sales Rep

Finally, if you're enlisting the help of a sales rep to purchase your security system, haggling might work. You might be able to get discounts or free equipment, which is a big help in lowering your upfront equipment fee.

Alarm Takeover

If you have an existing security system installed in your home, you might be able to enjoy Link Interactive's features without needing to replace your entire security system. This is called alarm takeover. If your system is compatible, you'll only need to purchase a takeover module to link it to Link Interactive's monitoring service.

While you might be able to lower the equipment cost, Link Interactive's plan pricing is fixed. However, you might be pleased to hear that Link Interactive's plan pricing is lower than most alarm companies. On average, Link Interactive monitoring plans are $5 less expensive than monitoring plans from companies that offer cellular monitoring. On top of that, Link Interactive offers more features in their lower-tier plans than its competition. For example, with other alarm companies, smartphone access and Crash & Smash Protection are often offered to mid-tier to high-end monitoring plan customers. Both features are included in Link Interactive's basic monitoring plan.
